Leon's Upholstery has been a fixture in Southeast Connecticut for over 46 years through both good times and bad because we have never faltered from our core concept of providing the customer with value through exceptional craftsmanship for a fair price. We are a full service company with the ability to produce custom one-off furniture, furniture re-upholstery, slip covers, antique furniture restoration, boat upholstery, wall upholstery, upholstered headboards, window treatments and bed linens. If fabric is involved, Leon's Upholstery can make it.
Leon's Upholstery began in 1965 when Leon Levine established the business in its current location at 601 Broad St in New London. In 1995, Marguerite L. Clarke-Manner (Peg) became a partner in the business after beginning as a seamstress in 1990. When Leon retired in 1997, Peg became sole owner. With Leon's mentoring and her own innate talent Peg has become a craftsperson of the first order. No aspect of interior design, fabric or upholstery is beyond her abilities.
We will work with your fabric or you can select from the thousands of fabric samples that Leon's Upholstery has to choose from.
Selecting the right fabric for a cherished piece of furniture or draperies can be a daunting and overwhelming task. But Leon's Upholstery will help you with every step of the process. During our free in home consultation we will determine your tastes, needs and desires. We will visit the room where the piece or the draperies will reside and then take all of these factors into consideration to help you select fabric colors and patterns so that the finished product is appropriate for the room setting it is intended for. The finished product will enhance the room it is in without drawing undue attention to its-self, will be comfortable and will wear well for many years to come. Our goal is to tailor the finished piece to satisfy your unique environment and needs.
You will find others who are cheaper, but you will not find anyone providing more value for the money.
